It’s been a long time since I’ve cried.

No. I mean a long time.

When I was a kid I rarely went a day without shedding a tear. I was told I was overly emotional. Just too sensitive.

Now I still have the same sensitivities but something’s different. Something’s numb. Something inside of me is simply gone.

Or at least so it seems.

I was worried this day would come. I always figured it might but never really believed it was possible.

I feel the same pain that I felt before, only now the dams that hold back liquid sadness have been fortified. Not with brick and mortar, but with titanium and steel.

Maybe this is just the way things work out. The more you live, the less you cry. Sounds far fetched.

I don’t know if I like it. I can’t tell if I’m stronger or just numb.

I can’t tell if it will only get more confusing from here.
